By profile- Is the profile, we assign to the user in the application which . Based on this the user will be able to view the permitted modules and pages.
By Role - is the organisational hierarchy Job positions. This is asked when the user accesses the application for the first time.
We can disable roles from Settings >> user engagement >> user roles. By role is the designation or the job role the user is assigned within the organisation.
