Installing SupportLogic's Zendesk iFrame App

Purpose

Following these steps will install and configure the SupportLogic app in Zendesk, allowing it to bring the SupportLogic insights / workflows into Zendesk CRM tool


Instructions


Step 1: Download the App ZIP File


  1. Download the ZIP file provided by SupportLogic

2. Save the file to a location on your computer where you can easily find it.


Step 2: Go to Zendesk Admin Center

  1. Log in to your Zendesk account.

  2. In the Zendesk Admin Center, click on Apps and Integrations in the left-hand menu.

  3. Under Apps and Integrations, click Private Apps.



Step 3: Upload the Custom App

  1. Click Upload Private App at the top right of the Manage page.

  2. In the Upload Custom App dialog:

    • Choose the Upload your app file option.

    • Click Choose file and select the ZIP file you downloaded in Step 1.

  3. Fill in any additional information if prompted, then click Upload.



Step 4: Configure the App Settings

  1. After uploading, you will see the app listed under Enabled apps.

  2. Click on the app to open the settings.

  3. In the App Settings:

  4. Click Install



Step 5: Add the App to the Ticket Sidebar

  1. From the tickets page, click on the apps button on the right side and select SupportLogic



Following the successful installation, please note that SupportLogic team must be informed to proceed with the necessary backend configuration. This step is essential to ensure proper functionality.



Additional Notes

  • If the app does not appear as expected, try refreshing your Zendesk browser tab.

  • For any issues, ensure you’re logged in with the appropriate admin permissions to manage apps in Zendesk.

  • If the widget area looks too small, try refreshing the page as the app may adjust its size dynamically.
