Slack Integration Instructions:

As we set up your instance of SupportLogic, we want to get the ball rolling with your Slack integration! To get started,

We first require your Slack admin team to approve our plug-in.

Submit plug-in to Slack admin team for approval

In SupportLogic, navigate to the Support Hub and open up a case. Click on “Case Sharing” and click the option to sign in to Slack. This should automatically send a request to your Slack Admin to approve the SupportLogic Slack app.

From here, you cannot sign in until your Slack Admin has approved the app.

Once our plug-in has been approved, you can continue with the configuration. Go to “Control Centre” → Alerts/Notifications, and place your Slack Team/Org ID at the top. Once this is complete, log into Slack via Case Sharing AND Alerts/Notifications. You must log into both locations. After that, you're all set!

How to Find Your Team ID in Slack

If you don't know how to find your Slack Team ID, you can find it in the browser URL path once you open

Slack in any browser.

  1. Open any web browser and log in to your Slack account.
  2. Next, go to your workspace main page and check the URL in the search bar at the top.
  3. The URL looks like this: https://app.slack.com/client/T... The following numbers represent your team ID.
  4. The workspace ID always starts with "T".

Go ahead and copy this.
